Krost Property Management Company (Pty) Ltd, trading as KPMCo ("we", "us"), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect and use your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

1. Information we collect

• Contact details you send us: your name, mobile number and email address.
• Property details: address, unit number, rental amount and occupancy status.
• Rental applications: details such as employment, income and rental history, and the results of credit and reference checks done with your consent.
• Maintenance requests: the problem reported and access arrangements.

2. Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide a valuation or quote.
• To assess rental applications and place suitable tenants.
• To manage leases, collect rent and arrange maintenance.
• To meet our legal obligations, including under the Property Practitioners Act, the Rental Housing Act and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA).

3. Who we share it with

We only share your information where it is needed to provide our service or where the law requires it, for example with TPN (for tenant credit checks), the landlord of a property you apply for, contractors appointed to do repairs, our attorneys, and regulators. We do not sell your information.

4. WhatsApp and email

Our website forms open WhatsApp or your email app with your message filled in. Nothing is sent until you press send. Messages sent through WhatsApp are also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

5. How long we keep it, and how we protect it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to keep it secure.

6. Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
